The LEO Computers Society started life as a group of ex LEO people who wanted to communicate and meet up to talk about the early development of the Lyons Electronic Office. It has evolved into a society that is dedicated to discovering and recording for posterity the remarkable development of the world’s first business computer.
Membership is open to anyone who shares an interest in this development and we encourage you to provide information about your interest in LEO and your career. This information is not shared with others, and personal and communications details such as addresses and numbers are not. But on request information can be shared if the owner agrees.
We stress that all are welcome if they have an interest, especially educators.
Membership is, at the present, free, but from February 2025 we plan to have a £10 pa membership fee to cover communications cost. If you have any material, photos, memorabilia or text relevant to LEO please let us know via the option boxes at the end. If you wish to make an additional voluntary contribution please email secretary@leo-computers.org.uk
IMembership will allow you to vote for proposals in the AGM and from time to time, and also to request information about other members on a confidential basis. If you simply want to access the website and revive newsletters then you can just request this with no fee.
After you have completed and submitted this form you should receive an email inviting you to confirm your email address. If you don’t receive this email within 5 minutes please check in your spam/junk to see if it has gone there. If you are still having problems email with details to vincent.bodsworth@leo-computers.org.uk
